Recorded at Playa Varadero, Cuba & @ Coral Gables, (Miami) Florida. Sueño Sonado is the first documented work by the Cuban sound artist coupler. Initially released in 2004 on Mamey Records, this work will see a re release, on Audio Electric’s Sound Documentation label. The initial concept was evoked by lucid dreaming, and sine tone meditation. This dronish, abstract data is a very personal work for me, and heavily influenced by the Living Stereo duo. I was able to work closely with my mentor Juan Oyarzun, 1/2 of Living Stereo a.k.a. Microsapien, at his Santillane studio in Coral Gables, may he R.I.P.
This work is intended to be listened to at variable volumes and in a comfortable setting of your choice. Sueño Sonado is a “sound experience” rather than a traditional “music” album. Enhanced experience if listened to with a partner, preferably in the dark as the rain outside camouflages itself into Sonado. There will be time to talk, express & love, you do as you wish.
